Ilia’s perspectives on matter lighten my being. I see resonance with Jude Currivan, author of The Cosmic Hologram and the upcoming The Story of Gaia, who accessibly articulates the recent science on the evolution of matter and the universe. The evolution of human consciousness affirms the mysterious potentiality of the universe and all matter. Is the existence of the universe contingent upon human consciousness or any other type of consciousness? The human experience suggests otherwise.
The material world consists of and is held together by pure consciousness (without content), which is pure light. This light gives the redeemed God identity, making them light-beings, light-bearers, and light-workers. Such fulfills Teilhard’s vision of the ultrahuman who shares this consciousness with God in/as the whole, made fully manifest in the Parousia to come (“Thy kingdom come”). The death of the Church Age, currently underway, will usher in the Kingdom Age or Omega Point in history. But not before further tribulation. The earth is currently in hospice care, facing extinction illness; for humanity, its “dark night of the species.” A higher order of consciousness will evolve, raising our species and its theology to a higher key.
