Heart of Matter: Relationality

“Because reality is marked by relationality and movement, it has endless depth.”

Ilia Delio, The Not-Yet God: Carl Jung, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and the Relational Whole

“La realidad está marcada por la relacionalidad y el movimiento, y eso le confiere una profundidad infinita.”

Ilia Delio, The Not-Yet God: Carl Jung, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and the Relational Whole

What is being asked?

An ever moving energy moves within and around us… and in me…. This I call a “filament of light” that is turned OFF by negative words or actions that I give… however I can turn it ON by always going back to awareness that GOD is💕💕

I journey daily in mystery and love.

Reality is much more wonderful than realism. The real to a secularist may be flat, but to this person of faith it is deeper and wider and more dearthan I can perceive. I am humble within it, awed by what and Who I imagine is beyond my senses.

Very true, yet there is something more primary that creates the relationality and movement that makes depth and being possible. And that is polarity. In creation, being a singularity, God is first a power of one, then two, then three, the latter being the reconciled tension or offspring of the other two, which are opposites, as male/female, spirit/matter, light/darkness, or as in the case of electricity, positive/negative. It is those reconciled and/or unreconciled opposites that allows and accounts for all movement, attraction, repulsion, reproduction, and evolution to occur. And it’s the reconciled union of polarities that creates the electromagnetic spark which makes the earth rotate, planets revolve, galaxies spin, and human dramas to occur, themselves a reconciling tragi-comic production playing out in the theater of time. In each instance, it’s the reconciling third (spark) that makes the Big History carousel go round on its axis (axis mundi), holding all things together. It also doubles as the very definition of Christ, the magnetic still-point (reconciled third) between the poles. We live in an electric universe. God is electricity, and we are the lamps. Now that we’ve solved the mystery Teilhard was searching for, and physicists only dream about, can we move on with other things? The earth, after all, is burning up, ready to incinerate in global warming.
