Heart of Matter: Reality of Evolution
“The more we can be in touch with the reality of evolution, the greater we can align ourselves with its fundamental forces so that we can flow peacefully into the new dynamic wholeness that is taking shape.”

“While panentheism is a helpful concept, the language of pantheism and panentheism is based on concepts of ‘being’ and ‘nature’ that can lead to misguided images of distinct beings in…
Thomas Berry saw two tasks as critical to the revitalization of our Western spirituality. One tasks involves turning back to sources of knowledge, wisdom and spiritual practice that are available in Indigenous religions. This he thought, could guide us back to a sustainable and reciprocal relationship with the natural world and the beings in it. The other task involved a major update of our religious cosmologies so they are conversant with what we know about reality via scientific knowledge. I wonder if these two tasks overlap in some way; whether the cultivation of an ecologically oriented consciousness can be aided and augmented by AI. In Teilhard’s vision this earth based spirituality exists in relationship with the noosphere, which is in turn shaped by human consciousness and the technologies that amplify it. We live in interesting times.
Reading your words – that articulate deep universal processes – my body/mind/spirit respond. I sense truth and set myself in motion with reality, rather than feeling like I’m lugging behind everything and everyone. 🙇🏼
I believe that what is being asked is the evolutionary leap of no longer taking offense . As a therapist , most of my clients with anxiety and depression suffer from reliving perceived offenses and using these offenses as excuses for mistreatment of others . I deeply believe we do severe damage to humanity’s fabric and evolution everytime we choose to take offense . It is more than simple forgiveness . In order to evolve , we need to retrain our minds to stop defining disappointments or disagreements as
offenses and see them as simply of being a living creature of God who is involved with other living creatures
