Heart of Matter: “Becoming More Than Human”

“As we awaken to the God-depth of our life, we become more than human; we become “ultra-human” or “Christic,” which impels us to move beyond the “ego” toward the “super-ego” the “hyperpersonal,” which is the completion of the self as God-self.”

What is being asked?

It seems to be somewhat creator-absent to suggest that we. become “more than human”. I choose to follow Irenaeus in that the Creator is most glorified in the human person at its fullest. The human person at its fullness includes its identity with Christ. That is the destiny of the human person, not something else. In Christ we become more human not other than. That is my thought.
