Old God, New God: New Theologies with Ilia Delio

Dr Ilia Delio, OFM, PhD, will present a two-session online webinar series for the Spirit Life Center.

At the first session, Dr. Delio will discuss how new discoveries in science, such as quantum physics, open up new theological understandings. Ilia will invite participants to see the cosmos as a sacred whole, where the universe is in God and God is in the universe (while God is also more than the universe).

At the second session, Dr. Delio will discuss how these new developments in theology support our engagement with a personalized and relational universe. Anyone for whom ancient doctrines of God and mechanistic views of the universe are limiting will find “Old God, New God” intriguing. This program will foster valuable understanding for those who want to nurture their connection with the divine whether within or outside a religious context.
