Word Made Matter

The new science gives us a window to see a new understanding of God in the material world. We will explore some of these new insights by talking about matter, mind and the fires of the heart.

 Christianity is distinguished by its faith claim, the divine Word became flesh, which undergirds the doctrine of the incarnation. Many people think this has something to do with Jesus alone, not with the world of trees, stars and chickadees. The historian Lynn White said that Christianity is the most anthropocentric of religions, focused on supernatural grace. Quantum physics dispels these myths by understanding a new role of mind in matter. The new science gives us a window to see a new understanding of God in the material world. We will explore some of these new insights by talking about matter, mind and the fires of the heart.
