SUMMARY:Cosmos\, Chaos and the Complexities of Consciousness
DESCRIPTION:A Live Conversation with Ilia Delio and Cynthia Bourgeault \nWe are living through a moment of profound fracture. Politics\, war\, the rise of AI\, racism\, colonialism\, immigration\, climate collapse — beneath every headline lies a deeper crisis: a fragmented consciousness struggling to comprehend itself in a rapidly changing world. \nWhat if these are not separate emergencies\, but symptoms of the same evolutionary threshold? What if chaos itself is part of how a new consciousness is being born? \nJoin two of today’s most visionary voices — theologian Ilia Delio and mystic teacher Cynthia Bourgeault — for a bold\, hope-filled conversation about the spiritual story unfolding inside our global unraveling. Together\, they will explore how the cosmos\, chaos\, and consciousness are deeply intertwined — and what it means to live awake\, whole\, and engaged in a world crying out for transformation. \nAll registrants will receive the recording.

SUMMARY:Bending the Universe Towards Love with Ilia Delio
DESCRIPTION:Join Sr. Ilia Delio on June 24\, 7-8:30 PM (UK) for a webinar hosted by The Scientific & Medical Network. \nAre We Disconnected From the Core Energy of Love?\nPierre Teilhard de Chardin was a French Jesuit priest and palaeontologist whose writings integrate evolutionary religion and evolution: work that was suppressed during his lifetime but has become a touchstone for anyone seeking to hold scientific and spiritual worldviews together. Teilhard believed the universe is not winding down but unfolding toward ever-greater consciousness\, driven by what he called a core energy of love woven into the fabric of matter itself. \nDrawing on Teilhard’s vision\, this talk argues that love is not merely a sentiment but a cosmological force: one that calls us to awaken by recognising the whole within ourselves and in the world around us. When we lose sight of that inner-outer unity\, we fall into the fragmentation that lies at the root of so much contemporary moral confusion: tribalism\, ecological indifference\, a sense of meaninglessness. \nThis matters now because we live in a moment when both science and spirituality are asking convergent questions about consciousness\, interconnection\, and purpose. Yet\, most public conversation treats them as separate or opposed. \nWhat if the divide between science and the sacred has always been smaller than we were told\, and closing it could change everything about how you see yourself and the world around you? \nThis talk will be followed by a live Q&A with Prof. Ilia Delio. \nTo register and learn more visit the event page. Please contact the organizer with questions or inquiries.

SUMMARY:Imagine Retreat by The Guild for Spiritual Guidance
DESCRIPTION:Join Sr. Ilia Delio\, Bayo Akomolafe\, Cynthia Bourgeault and more September 16-20\, 2026 in Nova Scotia\, Canada at a retreat hosted by our partners at The Guild for Spiritual Guidance. \nWe are living in a time that asks something profound of humanity. \nThe climate is changing. Cultures are shifting. Long-held assumptions about progress\, growth\, and certainty are dissolving before our eyes. \nYet within every time of uncertainty lies the possibility of renewal. \nThe Imagine Retreat\,  September 16-20\, 2026\, is an invitation to pause together—to listen more deeply to the Earth\, to wisdom traditions\, to science\, to poetry\, and to one another. \nFor five days we gather on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia to explore how science\, spirit\, and human creativity might come together in service of a more compassionate and life-giving future. \nThis is not simply a conference. It is a conversation about what it means to be human in this moment of history—and how we might imagine the world that wants to emerge. \nTo register and learn more visit the event page. Please contact the organizer with questions or inquiries.

SUMMARY:Journey to Greece with Ilia Delio
DESCRIPTION:This is a ten-day in-person educational experience with Ilia Delio we’re sharing on behalf of Thalassa Journeys. To inquire or for more information contact our partners via phone or email. \nDownload this brochure .pdf for the full itinerary and program description. \n \nDear Friends\, \nThe ancient Greeks are rightfully credited as the founders of Western science\, not because they had microscopes or laboratories\, but because they fundamentally invented the method of scientific inquiry. Between roughly the 6th century BCE and the 4th century BCE\, Greek philosophers developed the revolutionary idea that the natural world operates according to intelligible principles that human reason could discover. This shift from mythological explanation to rational investigation marks the birth of science as we know it. The earliest Greek thinkers\, known as the Pre-Socratics\, initiated this intellectual transformation by daring to ask: what is the world fundamentally made of\, and how does it work? Rather\nthan accepting traditional mythological accounts of creation and divine intervention\, figures like Thales\, Anaximander\, and Heraclitus sought material and rational explanations. Thales of Miletus (c. 624-546 BCE)\, often considered the first Western philosopher\, proposed that water is the fundamental substance of all things—a claim that seems quaint to modern ears\, but nevertheless a search for a unifying principle based on observation rather than mythology. Socrates (469-399 BCE) left no written works\, but his method of questioning\, dialectic reasoning\, and the relentless pursuit of truth through logical argument—became foundational to scientific methodology. He insisted that truth could be discovered through careful reasoning rather than authority or tradition and established the intellectual rigor that science requires. Plato made profound contributions by emphasizing that beneath the changing physical world exists an underlying mathematical order. His Theory of Forms suggested that the material world imperfectly reflects eternal\, unchanging abstract principles. In short\, early Greek thinkers were significant contributors to a new age of consciousness that provided the foundation for modern science. For them\, science was a form of natural philosophy\, a means of reflecting on the deep questions of existence and purpose. \n \nWe invite you to join us on a journey of discovery that retraces the footsteps of these remarkable thinkers. Our carefully curated travel experiences will take us to the ancient sites where Greek philosophy was born—from the bustling agora of Athens where Socrates engaged his students in dialectic debate\, to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi\, where “Know Thyself” remains inscribed for all seekers of wisdom. We will walk through the ruins of the Lyceum where Aristotle founded his school\, visit the island of Samos where Pythagoras established his community of learners\, and explore the temples and theaters where these philosophical traditions were woven into the fabric of Greek life. By experiencing Greece not as mere tourists\, but as intellectual pilgrims\, we will gain a profound appreciation for how these ancient thinkers help shaped the world we inhabit today. Whether you are a student of history\, a philosophy enthusiast\, or simply someone curious about the roots of Western thought\, I am sure this journey will enrich your understanding and inspire your own pursuit to know the human experience in a vast and awesome universe. \nSincerely\,\nIlia Delio\, OSF\, Ph. D. \nDownload this brochure .pdf for the full itinerary and program description.
